How do I install a MakerShot slide plate cover?

It’s important to note that different models, even from the same manufacturer may not assemble the same way. Always make sure the firearm is unloaded, cleared, and safe and that you have eyewear on to avoid flying springs. A good 1/16” punch is a wonderful tool to have handy, but a small screwdriver, pen, or knife will do in a pinch. Check out the videos below for model specific instructions.

Can you create a custom slide cover plate for a design that I provide?

Generally, no. We are not currently set up for custom requests. However, with volume comes possibilities. If you intend to make a large purchase (1000 units +) or just want to pass along a design idea that people may love, then contact us.

Will MakerShot slide plates work with X or Y aftermarket modification?

There are infinite combinations of drop-in trigger kits, firing pins, aftermarket slide modification and other parts. We can’t test them all with our products. Therefore, as a rule, we say our plates are NOT compatible with anything that alters the OEM internals of the weapon. MakerShot slide plate covers should not be installed with other non-OEM parts. Such combinations could affect the reliability and safety of your firearm and are explicitly cautioned against.
